So you took a job in sales…
The Keys to success in a sales job:
1- It all starts and ends in-between your ears
2- This is NOT a 9to5 job
3- Use your training period and “new guy/gal status” well
4- Never -EVER- intentionally interact with a prospect or client without preparation
5- When in doubt pick up the phone
6- It’s ALL about connection and that comes from authenticity
7- Be careful not to reenforce negative perceptions
8- Be patient but not TOO patient!
9- Embody “pleasant persistence”
10- Qualify, qualify, qualify
11- It’s important to close the deal but don’t lose sight of the long game (Relationship > Transaction)
12- Keep sharpening your sword!
